12.1.12

Happy Birthday Grandma!!  We love you very much.  It was a day to celebrate Birthdays.  We went to Lucas's 1st Birthday Party.     Tia and Tio did a great job decorating.   (not such a..) Baby Lucas was adorable and smiley as usual.  And everyone had a great time.  The boys were never put down and Bea had lots of fun.

One of the favors of this circus themed party was clown noses.

They also had a pinata.

This is Tia's mom helping Bea.

That night was our town's annual Christmas Parade.   Despite it being rainy, cold, late and us having not had dinner, Mommy dragged Bea there while Daddy stayed home with the twins.   Despite her expression in this photo, she did have fun

And she was well protected from the elements.

What elements?  How bout a huge downpour in the middle of it!   Thank God we live in SoCal where even in December it's not cold.

It was all worth it though.   As the parade starts Santa flies overhead on a helicopter.  The look on Bea's face when that happened made our impending pneumonia worth while.

Some highlights of a small town parade.   The grand Marshals were the team that designed the Mars Space Rover (from the nearby Jet Propulsion Laboratory) and the guy who played Chekov on the original Star Trek series.  There are more boy scout and girl scout troops than there are children in our town.  And here's another random quirk. .
